The people behind the counter
Our bakery.
Rye Gate began with a simple wish: make bread worthy of a daily walk through the old town. We work in small batches, keep the flour close, and leave room for a friendly conversation at the counter.

Built around the morning.
Before the street fills, our bakers weigh flour, refresh the starter and shape the day’s loaves. The work is calm but exacting. A dough may need another fold; a tart may wait until the fruit is just right. That attention is what we hope you notice when you tear open a warm roll.
Our shelves hold familiar Lithuanian rye alongside butter pastries and cakes with a lighter, seasonal touch. We make room for the small rituals: bread for breakfast, a croissant on a wet morning, a cake carried carefully to someone’s door.
For your table.
For larger orders, speak to us a few days ahead. We can prepare breakfast pastry boxes, loaves for a family meal and cakes for birthdays, office gatherings or an unhurried Sunday. We will be honest about what fits the day’s bake and help you choose something that travels well.
